ACCF’s mission is to contribute to the preservation of important African wilderness areas, as well as to empower the communities living alongside these spaces, contributing to a world in which people and wildlife live together, sustainably, forever.
Tusk Trust is a British non-profit organisation set up in 1990 to advance wildlife conservation across Africa. Tusk is a valued partner of The Malilangwe Trust and support us on specific projects. Tusk’s mission is to amplify the impact of progressive wildlife conservation initiatives across Africa. Tusk partners with the most effective local organisations, investing in their in-depth knowledge and expertise. By supporting and nurturing their conservation programmes, Tusk helps accelerate growth from an innovative idea to a scalable solution.
Singita iis The Malilangwe Trust’s long-standing ecotourism partner. Singita is a conservation and ecotourism brand whose unwavering commitment is to preserve and protect Africa’s wilderness for future generations. Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZPWMA) has a proud history of sound management in conservation since 1975. Malilangwe has a good relationship with ZPWMA in the administration and protection of wildlife, and exchanges data and records on relevant species.
Gonarezhou Conservation Trust are friends and neighbours of Malilangwe. The Gonarezhou National Park is managed by a dedicated and professional team of employees from Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, the Frankfurt Zoological Society and the Gonarezhou Conservation Trust. Malilangwe collaborates with Gonarezhou on pertinent community projects, shared best conservation practices and periodic joint scouts training.
Wildlife Capture Africa Trust offers the annual Malilangwe Course in Chemical and Physical Restraint of African Wildlife. It is an intensive 10-day training course conducted in February each year on the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve. Over 350 attendees from the veterinary science field have been trained in the practice of safe and effective chemical and physical restraint of large wildlife. The graduates practice in over 15 countries around the world.
Grumeti Fund carries out wildlife conservation and community development work in the western corridor of the Serengeti ecosystem. This is Malilangwe’s sister project in Tanzania, where valuable ideas are shared about community upliftment and best conservation practices.
