Paul Trethowan is a Rhodes Scholar, conservation scientist, and business leader with experience spanning wildlife research, strategy consulting, and agricultural management. He holds a DPhil in Zoology from the University of Oxford, where his research focused on the behavioural and thermal ecology of African lions. Paul began his career as an ecological consultant in Zimbabwe before joining McKinsey & Company, where he worked in Chicago and London, leading strategy and operations projects across the private, public, and social sectors. He is now Director and General Manager of Luhwade, a citrus estate in southern Zimbabwe, where he has overseen significant growth in production. Paul also co-founded Rangelands Regeneration, a non-profit dedicated to restoring ecosystems and improving livelihoods, and continues to support the organisation as a trustee.
Paul joined Malilangwe’s Board of Trustees in December 2024.
