Benoit Fayd’herbe

Benoit was born in Mauritius and grew up on a sugar cane farm in Chiredzi and a coffee farm in Chipinge. He obtained a Bachelor in Agricultural Management degree from the University of Natal (South Africa). Upon completion of his degree, he returned to Zimbabwe to work on (and eventually take over from his father) the various family farming enterprises of La Lucie (Pvt) Ltd in the south-eastern Lowveld, Manicaland and Mashonaland. He gained a great deal of experience in the varied aspects of agricultural and livestock operations and dealings with all levels of employees in the business. Benoit is currently Managing Director of Zambezi Crocodiles (Pvt) Ltd.

Benoit joined Malilangwe as a Trustee in 2001. Having grown up mostly in the south-eastern lowveld, Benoit has always enjoyed the outdoors and feels the privilege of being a Trustee has given him the opportunity to put something back into the area and to play a small part in the exciting role that the Trust plays in conservation and the community at large.
